Mayo GAA is delighted to confirm Aurivo Co-op has renewed its sponsorship of the Mayo GAA Senior Club Championship under its Connacht Gold brand, and the Mayo GAA underage competitions under its Homeland retail stores brand. Aurivo is committed to getting behind Mayo GAA and supporting local clubs in the championship season in 2020.
Connacht Gold are now into their third year of sponsorship of the Senior club championship. The Mayo GAA Connacht Gold Senior Football championship throws in this weekend with eight games taking place on Saturday and Sunday. There will be two further rounds of group games in August before the knockout stages commence in September.
Homeland Retail will continue to sponsor our underage football championships for 2020. These games got underway last Friday night with Minor games taking place across all four divisions.
Egan Jewellers will once again be sponsoring our Intermediate club football championship. The Castlebar based business have been a huge supporter of Mayo GAA over the last number of years. The Intermediate football championship begins this Saturday August 1st as 16 teams set out with the hope of lifting the Sweeney Cup and promotion to the Senior grade.
We can also confirm that The TF Royal Hotel and Theatre have come on board as the sponsors of our Junior football championship. The agreement covers the 2020 football championship season. Based in Castlebar The TF Royal Hotel and Theatre is one of Ireland’s leading concert and hotel venues. The new deals were ratified at Monday night’s meeting of Mayo GAA County Board held in Elverys MacHale Park.
Statement by Liam Moffatt, Cathaoirleach, Coiste Chontae Mhaigh Eo: We are delighted to confirm that Aurivo Co-op, Egan Jewellers & The TF Royal Hotel and Theatre will be sponsoring our club championships in 2020. All three companies have strong bases in Mayo & it is great to be able to work with these local companies during the upcoming club championships.
The clubs are the lifeblood of the GAA and having these companies on board is a great endorsement to the vibrant nature of the Mayo club championships across our Senior, Intermediate & Junior grades. The games begin this weekend and I have no doubt over the next number of weeks will see many enthralling games taking place right across the County.”
Commenting on the renewed partnership, Seamus Hannon, National Account Manager, Aurivo Consumer Foods, said: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Mayo GAA through our sponsorship of the Senior Club Championship and underage competitions. Through our Connacht Gold and Homeland brands, Aurivo has a strong history of supporting local sporting clubs across the north west region. We wish Mayo GAA every success and look forward to another exciting championship.”
