Mayo GAA football finals are ticket only events


Mayo GAA would like to advise supporters that all games this coming weekend are TICKET ONLY and patrons must purchase their ticket online in advance for the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Football Finals.  Participating clubs have been given a specific allocation for members with surplus tickets going on general sale on Tuesday afternoon.

A bumper weekend of GAA action is in store and supporters are asked to arrive early for all games to avoid delays.  Supporters are asked to cooperate with the host clubs to ensure everyone can enter and exit the grounds in a safe manner.  Mayo GAA is also advising patrons to follow all HSE COVID-19 guidelines, wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing instructions at all grounds. 

Four Mayo GAA football finals are scheduled over the weekend culminating with the Connacht Gold Senior Football Final between reigning champions Knockmore and CLG Bhéal an Mhuirthead in James Stephen’s Park in Ballina on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm. will have LIVE coverage of three finals this weekend with the Junior ‘B’ Football Final between Eastern Gaels and CLG Thuar Mhic Éadaigh, the Junior ‘A’ Football Final between Kilmeena and CLG Chill Chomáin and the Intermediate Football Final between Ballyhaunis and Mayo Gaels all being broadcast LIVE this coming weekend.  The Mayo GAA Senior Football Final between Knockmore and CLG Bhéal an Mhuirthead will be broadcast LIVE on TG4.

Mayo GAA CCC Chairman, Con Moynihan, thanked the host clubs for their support and effort in getting the pitches ready for the biggest football weekend in the Mayo GAA calendar.  “Mayo GAA is extremely thankful to the four host clubs, Ballina, Charlestown, Crossmolina and Claremorris for facilitating these games. It has been a challenging few weeks due to the poor weather but these clubs have shown great flexibility and cooperation to ensure all the games go ahead as scheduled this weekend,” commented Moynihan. 

Supporters are reminded to arrive early so everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience at these games.  In light of the increasing COVID-19 numbers, Mayo GAA is also reminding clubs to be extremely careful and follow all HSE guidelines if their team wins, loses or draws at the weekend.
