Mayo unchanged for Tribesmen test

  • Apr 14,2006
Friday, April 14 Mayo manager Mickey Moran has named an unchanged side from the one that drew with Tyrone last weekend for Sundays Allianz National Football League Division 1 semi-final clash with Galway in Castlebar. Speculation that Ciaran McDonald would make a surprise return has been proved unfounded as the Crossmolina man remains sidelined with a broken bone in his hand. Trevor Mortimer is fit again but has to be content with a place on the substitutes bench. The elder Mortimer brother came on as a substitute during the game against the ONeill County, replacing Kevin ONeill, who starts at left corner forward against the Tribesmen on Easter Sunday. David Brady also made his return, as a substitute, against the Red Hand men but he will have to be satisfied alongside Mortimer on the bench this weekend. MAYO - J Healy; T Howley, D Heaney, L OMalley; K Higgins, J Nallen, P Gardiner; J Gill, R McGarrity; BJ Padden, G Brady, A Dillon; A Moran, A OMalley, K ONeill.
