RIP Padraic Monaghan

Mayo GAA are saddened to hear of the passing of Padraic Monaghan RIP, Templeogue and formerly of Scardaune Claremorris Co.Mayo
Padraic is predeceased by his father Paddy.
Beloved husband to wife Mary, loving father to Brian and Fiona.  Padraic will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family, his mother Dymphna, daughter-in-law Lauren, his 3 adoring Grandchildren, Finn, Cara and Bran, his brothers Tommy, Johnny, Liam and Paul, his sisters Eileen, Anne and Dymphna, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, and all in the St. Jude’s GAA Community.
Padraic played wing back on the St. Colman’s College team that captured the Hogan Cup in 1977. He then captained UCG, now University of Galway, to a Sigerson Cup in 1980. Padraic also won 3 County Titles with Garrymore in 1979, 1981 and 1982. He was also part of the 1982 All-Ireland Final team. Padriac was also a former player with the Mayo Senior, U21 and Minor panel.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Templeogue Village, D6W AC82 on Thursday evening  between 5pm and 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to St. Jude the Apostle Church, Templeogue, D6W to arrive for 10am Funeral Mass followed thereafter by Cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium.
