RIP Michael Feehan
Mayo GAA are saddened to hear of the passing of Michael Feehan, Stanmore, Middlesex, UK and late of Kilmeena, Westport, Co. Mayo and Cloonloo, Co. Sligo
Predeceased by his wife Marian, brother Nicholas and parents John and Kathleen.
Michael will be dearly missed by his daughters Caroline and her husband John and their children Rocco, Cosmo and Orso, Sinead and her husband Dimitri and their children Melina and Aliki, Deirdre and her partner Che and their son Ronin, brothers Paul (Kilmeena), John (Ennis), and sister Marian O’Leary (Mullingar), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours & a wide circle of friends.
Michael being an avid Mayo GAA supporter he followed the team up and down the country as well as further afield.
He loved his football and especially enjoyed his trip to the USA in 1970 after Kilmeena had won the West Mayo Cussack Cup Final the previous year.
Michael was so proud of Kilmeena’s great achievements over the last few years, especially being in Croke Park to watch his Nephew Niall representing the Kilmeena Team that won the All Ireland Junior Final in February 2022.
When he moved to London he immersed himself in all things Mayo and was a large part of the Mayo Association and the Golf Society, which he was both a past Captain and President.
He was also one of the founder members of Cairde Mhaigheo London in 2011.
Michael’s Funeral Service will be held on Monday (28th October) at 12.45 in the All Saints Church, 531 Kenton Road, Harrow HA3 OUL with burial afterwards in Hendon Cemetery, Holders Hill Road, London, NW7 1NB.
