Mayo GAA Chairperson Seamus Tuohy thanked Brian Finn for his commitment and dedication to Mayo hurling.  “I would like to thank Brian and his backroom team for all the work and time they gave to Mayo hurling and in particular the way they developed so many new players that have gone on to represent the Mayo senior hurling team with great distinction,” commented Seamus Tuohy.

Statement from Mayo GAA Hurling Chairperson Sean Ó Raghallaigh:

Mayo GAA Hurling committee chairperson Sean Ó Raghallaigh thanked Brian Finn stating he had made a tremendous contribution to the development of hurling in Mayo not just in the past three years with the U20 hurlers but over many years.  “Brian Finn is a brilliant ambassador for club and county hurling and I want to thank him for his leadership, vision and commitment.  He is a true hurling man, I am sure Brian will continue to promote the game in his club and within Mayo in the years to come,” commented Sean Ó Raghallaigh.

Brian Finn managed the Mayo minor hurlers to back-to-back All-Ireland titles in 2013 and 2014.  He managed the Mayo U17 and U20 hurlers for six years before joining Ray Larkin as joint-manager of the Mayo senior hurling team in 2023.  Brian stepped away from the senior hurling team last year but remained with the U20 hurlers.  Brian’s backroom team with the Mayo U20 hurlers included Westport’s Davy Kitterick, Gerry Glavey from Tooreen and Brendan Geraghty from Castlebar Mitchels.
