RIP Michael O’Malley

Mayo GAA are saddened to hear of the passing of Michael O’Malley Clonmel Tipperary , formerly Claremorris.
Predeceased by his sisters Ann, Máire, Kathleen and Noreen and his brother James.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Catherine, daughter Gráinne, grandchildren Síofra and Conan, son-in-law Seán (Mangan), brother Luke and his wife Patricia, stepsons David, his wife Juanita and their daughter Ellen, Alan and his wife Claire and P.J. and his wife Lesley and all of Catherine’s grandchildren and great-granddaughter, brothers-in-law Pat (Walsh), Donal (Murphy), Pat (Finnegan) and John (Hogan), sister-in-law Vera (O’Leary), nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
 
Michael O’Malley represented Claremorris and won two Senior County titles in 1964 and 1965 and he also represented Mayo at various levels including Senior level during the 1960s.
Michael was the son of Seamus O’Malley who captained Mayo to the County’s first All-Ireland Senior Title in 1936.
 
Reposing at Condons Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Wednesday evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Thursday to St. Mary’s Church, Irishtown. Funeral Mass on arrival at 12.00pm with private cremation to be held at a later date.
