Brave the Drop Croke Park Abseil Challenge

Brave the Drop Croke Park Abseil Challenge

Mayo GAA is proud to be supporting the Brave the Drop Croke Park Abseil Challenge which is a flagship fundraiser by our charity partner for the year, Mayo Cancer Support Association.

Best wishes to the following local people who are undertaking the abseil in Croke Park tomorrow  Friday October 10th to raise funds for Mayo Cancer Support.

Statement from Cathaoirleach Coiste Chontae Mhaigh Eo Seamus Tuohy:

Tomorrow, Friday, October 11th, marks a truly special occasion for Mayo Cancer Support Association (Rock Rose House) and for many members of the Mayo GAA community who are taking part in the “Brave the Drop Abseil Challenge” at Croke Park.
Participants will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to abseil 150ft from the iconic heights of Croke Park — not only for the thrill, but more importantly, to celebrate and reward the outstanding fundraising efforts made in support of Mayo Cancer Support.
We in Mayo GAA are immensely proud of the success of this initiative. The funds raised will go directly towards providing vital services and supports to individuals and families across Mayo who have been affected by cancer. Mayo Cancer Support is a truly remarkable organisation, and the impact of their work cannot be overstated.
A heartfelt thank you to every participant taking part in tomorrow’s challenge — your dedication, your courage, and the unwavering support from your clubs and communities have made a real difference. You’ve all shown incredible commitment over the past number of weeks, and tomorrow is your moment to enjoy the challenge and celebrate the impact you’ve made.
Your efforts will help ensure that many in our county will continue to receive the support they need through Mayo Cancer Support.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh, and best of luck to all taking part!
