The county final of Scór na nÓg, the GAA cultural competition for club members who will turn 17 on or after January 1st 2026, will be held in Moygownagh Community Centre (F26 EK5E)on Friday November 7th. The evening gets underway at 7pm sharp with the table quiz. This will take approximately one hour and will be followed immediately by stage events.
An outline of competitions, as well as other relevant information and forms is attached to this email. To avoid potential disappointments down the road, mentors are asked to read all attached documents carefully and familiarise themselves with the rule book.
Some points to note:

The Scóláireacht Phroinsias Uí Mhaolmhuaidh will be presented once more this year. It will be presented to two acts – the highest scoring Solo Singer who performs his/her song through the medium of Irish and likewise the highest scoring Irish language recitation/story. Each of the two winners will receive a trip to a Coláiste Samhraidh Gaeilge. This is kindly sponsored by Mayo County Board.

This year sees the introduction of an individual sean nós dancing competition. The entry form and rules for this are included in the attachments. Please note that this competition will not progress beyond county/Mayo level.

Tickets for the night will be available online ONLY. The link to purchase will be made available to clubs nearer the time.

Entries (on the attached form/s) must be forwarded to this email address by Thursday October 30th. Entries will be accepted after this and indeed on the night, but the names of late entries may not be included in the programme.
