2025 Allianz Leagues Ticket Prices

2025 Allianz Leagues

The GAA can confirm ticketing arrangements for the 2025 Allianz Leagues.
Prices will remain unchanged at €20 for Adults and €15 for Senior Citizens/Students for Division 1 and 2 Allianz Football League games and 1A and 1B Allianz Hurling League games.
Tickets for AFL Divisions 3 and 4 will be priced at €12 and €10 and for AHL Divisions 2, 3 and 4, will be €10 and €8 respectively.

An early bird offer for the month of December will see a €5 discount on Adult tickets for all opening round games across all divisions in both codes.

There will be a change in juvenile pricing. Children’s Tickets (U16) will be €5 for all Division 1 and Division 2 Fixtures in football and Division 1A & 1B in hurling.

These tickets can only be purchased alongside an adult ticket.
This new arrangement has been introduced after consultation with our counties and to assist with event control and health and safety protocols for fixtures that attract bigger attendances.

It will not apply for Divisions 3 & 4 in football or Divisions 2 & 3 in hurling.
A juvenile charge may also apply to other fixtures if required due to capacity.

Mayo GAA statement on engagement with the Revenue Commissioners

Media statement – 05 December 2024

Mayo GAA statement on engagement with the Revenue Commissioners

Over the past year, Mayo GAA has been engaging with the Revenue Commissioners in relation to a legacy issue relating to outstanding tax liabilities from our Cúl Camp’s programme in 2018 and 2019.

As part of that process, Mayo GAA made a voluntary disclosure of €119,778 to the Revenue Commissioners last year in relation to the potential tax liability for the Cúl Camp’s programme. Following the disclosure, the Revenue Commissioners requested further information from Mayo GAA for the 2018 and 2019 period.

In light of this request, Mayo GAA began its own voluntary review of the tax treatment it applies across a range of expenses paid in subsequent years, from 2020-2024. Mayo GAA took it upon itself to engage proactively with Revenue on this wider review.

The Revenue Commissioners’ intervention is still ongoing, and while we have no certainty on how long it will take, it is hoped that the process will conclude in the coming months.

Mayo GAA will prepare and release its Financial Statement to it’s clubs in advance of convention without any provision for a potential liability. As Mayo GAA is not currently in a position to accurately assess with certainty the final potential liabilities that may arise from our engagement with Revenue, the principal officers of county board have decided to not sign the Financial Statements for the year ended 30th September 2024 until the outcome of the ongoing Revenue Commissioners Risk Review is completed and any additional liabilities arising from same are quantified and agreed. Our Auditors are in agreement with this approach and this approach is supported by Mayo GAA Management Committee and the County’s Audit & Risk Committee. Overall, the finances of Mayo GAA are in robust shape after another strong financial year in 2024.

To prevent similar issues highlighted by Revenue from arising in the future, Mayo GAA has commenced a review of the payment of all expenses going forward to ensure they are fully compliant with Revenue guidelines.

Mayo GAA will continue to update club delegates and officials as the Revenue’s intervention progresses.

Seamus Tuohy, chairperson of Mayo GAA, said:

“Mayo GAA is complying fully with the Revenue Commissioners’ ongoing audit process, and we are committed to proactively ensuring all potential tax liabilities arising from past expenses payments are fully settled.

“The issues that have been identified by the Revenue Commissioners relate to expense payments made. It is therefore clear that these potential tax liabilities identified by Revenue may also impact every other county board in Ireland.

“As Mayo GAA continue to work constructively with Revenue on these issues, I would urge the wider GAA community to proactively engage on these issues and ensure all county boards have clear guidelines going forward around the tax treatment of all expenses that are incurred in the running of our association”.

Ireland Lights Up and Irish Life Every Step Counts Challenge return for 2025

Ireland Lights Up and Irish Life Every Step Counts Challenge return for 2025

The GAA is excited to announce the return of two highly popular initiatives for 2025, Ireland Lights Up and Irish Life’s Every Step Counts Challenge on their MyLife app. Both initiatives aim to inspire people across Ireland to stay active, improve their wellbeing, and come together on the dark winter evenings, and have grown to be amongst the largest community physical activity initiatives on the island.

Returning for its seventh year, Ireland Lights Up will once again see GAA clubs light up their facilities during the dark winter months, creating safe, hospitable spaces for communities to walk and socialise together. In 2024 up to 1,000 clubs participated, bringing tens of thousands of people together to improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing.

Ireland Lights Up will commence on the week of January 6th, 2025, and will run for 6 weeks with participating GAA clubs offering access to their walking tracks, lighting up the routes for walkers, joggers, and families alike.

Running at the same time will be the hugely popular Irish Life Every Step Counts Challenge, hosted on their MyLife app. Back for a sixth year in 2025, the challenge offers participants the chance to win a share of €30,000 in club funding that Irish Life has made available for the ‘Every Step Counts Challenge’ donation fund. Everyone who downloads Irish Life’s MyLife app will also get rewarded for being active!

Last year an incredible 40,000 participants from over 900 clubs joined the Every Step Counts Challenge on Irish Life’s MyLife app to get active and show their support for their local GAA club. Don’t miss your chance to join the community this January.

Both initiatives are part of the GAA’s ongoing commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of its members and the wider community, proudly supported by Irish Life, sponsors of the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs programme (which has engaged over 600 clubs over the past decade).

GAA President, Jarlath Burns, said: “We’re thrilled to see the return of the very popular Ireland Lights Up and the Irish Life Steps Challenge in 2025. The popularity of these initiatives speak for themselves, and I know how valued they are by our clubs and the communities they serve all over Ireland.”

Declan Bolger, Chief Executive at Irish Life said about the launch:

“Irish Life is delighted to launch the ‘Every Step Counts’ Challenge on our MyLife app, in partnership with Ireland Lights Up and the GAA. We’re proud of the role we play in helping people and communities lead better lives, supporting the clubs and volunteers bringing people together to exercise, meet new people and make improvements to their health and wellbeing.”

Get Ireland Walking programme manager, Jason King, highlights the significance of the partnership in terms of supporting people’s health:

“Get Ireland Walking is excited to partner again with the GAA this year for Ireland Lights Up and the Irish Life Heathy Club Every Step Counts Challenge. These campaigns have grown from strength to strength and offer people the chance to get more active over the winter months at their local GAA clubs. Ireland Lights Up also presents a real opportunity for non-club members and local communities to engage with GAA clubs, which supports community integration and has a real social benefit in addition to the health and wellbeing outcomes that walking provides.”
