The Dalata Hotel Group have announced the U20 Football Team of the Year for 2025.

 

 

Eoin McElholm named 2025 Dalata Hotel Group U20 Footballer of the Year

The Dalata Hotel Group, in proud partnership with the GAA and the Gaelic Writers’ Association, is delighted to announce Eoin McElholm of Tyrone as the 2025 Dalata Hotel Group GAA U20 Footballer of the Year. This award recognises McElholm’s outstanding performances and transformative impact throughout the championship.
Selected by a panel of expert GAA journalists from the Gaelic Writers’ Association, the award celebrates not only McElholm’s scoring brilliance, but also his leadership, work ethic, and ability to rise in pivotal moments of Tyrone’s historic, back-to-back All-Ireland victories.
At the heart of Tyrone’s U20 success, McElholm stood out as a difference maker — delivering in clutch moments, inspiring teammates, and consistently influencing games when it mattered most.
Across the championship, he tallied a remarkable 6-24, finishing as top scorer in the competition. His performance peaked in the All-Ireland Final against Louth at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh, where he scored 2-4 in a commanding 5-16 to 0-17 victory — a game that helped seal Tyrone’s place in the history books.
In the semi-final against Kerry, McElholm struck another vital goal, powering Tyrone to a 2-14 to 0-14 win. Whether it was breaking defensive lines, linking play, or tracking back, his all-round contribution exemplified what it means to make “the difference that makes the difference.”

Notifications of Results:

Each draw will be broadcast live on Mayo GAA Facebook page. Clubs will receive a list of the winners within 24 hours of each club. Prize money will be paid to clubs within two weeks of each draw for subsequent distribution of club winners,

The league finals are in neutral venues, please be mindful that host clubs are permitted to charge a fee at their gate to help recover cost of holding the finals.

The Development League finals are a reversal of the original league fixture.

The 5th to 8th playoffs are also a reversal of the original fixture.

Important, there are no shield presentations at these 5th to 8th playoffs. They are just games to ensure teams are still getting games right through May and into June. 

Some clubs are in the process of moving finals as there is a soccer blitz in Limerick next week. Can clubs let us know the agreed new date and be mindful that the Divisional Championship is starting on Monday 16th June. Both clubs must be in agreement and the new date must not clash with a divisional championship game.

Mayo U17 Football managers David Heaney and Tom Reilly and their management team have named the team that face Offaly in the Electric Ireland All Ireland U17 Quarter-Final this Sunday the 8th June at 3pm in King & Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park Roscommon.
There are three changes to the team that played Roscommon in the Connacht Final .
Eoghan Dever Castlebar Mitchels, Fiachra O’Cinnseala Westport and Rhys Neary Breaffy replace Cian May, Tony Carey and Oran Murphy.
Barry Langan Ballinrobe will captain the team on the day.
 Westmeath referee Alan Coyne will officiate this game.
