Croke Park Bloody Sunday Anniversary
Croke Park Bloody Sunday Anniversary
Tuesday, 21st November marks the 103rd anniversary of the attack by Crown Forces on the Dublin-Tipperary football match at Croke Park on Bloody Sunday, November 21st, 1920.
The tragic loss of lives that day altered the country’s relationship with the GAA and altered our connection to the playing field on Jones’s Road.
A commitment was made to the surviving relatives of the victims that we would ensure that the memory of their loved ones would never be forgotten.
If you are able to do so, it would be appreciated if you found time today to remember the 14 people who went to that match at Croke Park and never came home on November 21st, 1920.
